Corrections & Updates Policy

Our commitment to accuracy, transparency and responsible publishing.

Effective date: 5 October 2026

Overview

Aurea Regula is committed to providing readers with accurate, reliable and carefully considered editorial content.

We recognise that mistakes can occur, despite careful research, editing and fact-checking. When an error is identified, we are committed to correcting it promptly and transparently.

Our corrections process is part of our broader editorial responsibility and reflects our commitment to maintaining the trust of our readers.

Making Corrections

When a factual error is identified in an Aurea Regula article, we will assess the issue and, where appropriate, correct the affected content as soon as reasonably possible.

Corrections may include inaccurate facts, figures, names, dates, quotations, descriptions or other material information.

Where a correction materially affects the meaning or understanding of an article, we will make the correction clear to readers by adding an appropriate Correction or Updated note to the article.

Minor editorial changes, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting or improvements to clarity, generally do not require a correction notice.

We will not silently alter material facts in a way that could mislead readers about what was originally published.

Updating Stories

Aurea Regula may also update published articles when new information becomes available.

This is particularly relevant to articles covering subjects that develop over time, including watches, brands, products, companies, cultural developments, exhibitions, travel, technology and other subjects where information may change after publication.

An article may therefore be updated to:

  • reflect significant new information;
  • correct or clarify previously published information;
  • add relevant developments;
  • provide additional context;
  • link to a subsequent Aurea Regula article;
  • improve the usefulness of an evergreen article for readers.

Where an update materially changes the substance of an article, we may identify the change with an Updated note and, where appropriate, include the date of the update.

Minor Editorial Updates

Not every change to a published article requires a public correction or update notice.

Changes made solely to improve:

  • spelling;
  • grammar;
  • punctuation;
  • formatting;
  • readability;
  • clarity;
  • headlines or subheadings;

may be made without a correction notice, provided that the underlying factual meaning of the article has not materially changed.

Where a story develops significantly after its original publication, we may add an update to reflect the new information and provide readers with relevant context.

When a significant development results in a new Aurea Regula article, we may update the earlier article with a link to the newer coverage.

This allows readers who discover an older article first to access the most relevant and up-to-date information.

Where appropriate, we may also update newer articles with links to earlier reporting or related editorial coverage, helping readers understand the broader context of a subject.

Reader Corrections and Feedback

Readers play an important role in helping us maintain editorial accuracy.

If you believe an Aurea Regula article contains a factual error, outdated information or requires clarification, we encourage you to contact our editorial team.

Please provide:

  • the title or URL of the relevant article;
  • the specific information you believe is incorrect or outdated;
  • the reason you believe it is incorrect;
  • where possible, a reliable source supporting the proposed correction.

Our editorial team will review the information and determine whether a correction or update is appropriate.

Submitting a correction request does not guarantee that an amendment will be made. Editorial decisions will be based on the available evidence and our editorial standards.

Our Approach to Corrections

Aurea Regula does not regard corrections as a weakness in journalism.

Correcting an error is part of responsible publishing.

Our objective is not to suggest that every published article is infallible, but to ensure that when mistakes are identified, they are addressed honestly and responsibly.

We believe readers should be able to trust not only the information we publish, but also the way we respond when that information needs to be corrected.
